Q. What is WGTE's Day of Giving?
WGTE's Day of Giving is a 24-hour, online giving event on December 11, 2025. The goal is to raise at least $25,000 in 24 hours to support WGTE Public Media. The Clement O. Miniger Memorial Foundation will match every dollar, up to $25,000 donated during the 24-hour period.
Q. Why is you donation so important this year?
This year WGTE lost $1.2 million in federal funding as of October 1, 2025. As WGTE moves forward, your support matters more than ever. The exceptional variety of trusted, thought-provoking programs you enjoy on WGTE TV, FM and Digital depends on friends who believe in the vital role public media plays in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
Q. How can I make a donation?
Online with a credit card at this site, anytime from 12:00 a.m.-11:59 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025. WGTE Public Media's partner, GiveGab is providing this online giving platform.
Q. Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. All donations are 100% tax-deductible, as permitted by law. Once you make a donation, you will receive an email confirming your tax-deductible gift. Your email will serve as your tax receipt.
Q. Is there a minimum gift allowed?
There is a $5 donation minimum. Every donation counts and makes a difference. And each donation, up to $25,000, will be matched 100% by the Clement O. Miniger Memorial Foundation.
Q. Who can make a donation during WGTE's Day Of Giving?
Anyone! No matter where you live, you can give.
Q. Can I make a donation using my tablet or smartphone?
Yes. The GiveGab technology platform has a "mobile optimized platform" that will make it easy to make a gift using your tablet or smartphone.
